random ramblings

25th November, 2001. 7:27 pm. don't wash your car next to rose bushes

Just got back from home home. Sad to be back cuz I know it's a week til finals. Time to move into the library (I can't study in my room). Thanksgiving break was fun though. Gosh, first day of break seems so long ago. Jonathan's god-mother came, so we spent a lot of time taking her out. We spent Thanksgiving at his aunts house first, then went over to my aunts house. We really should have went to my aunts first, then his. We thought that his aunts would be a small event and my aunt would have a big event, ends up that it was the other way around. So instead of going to say hi to his aunt and the supposedly small group, then heading over to aunt who has the big group and it wouldn't matter so much that we were late, it ended up that his aunt had more people than seats, so we had to eat in shifts. We ended up being there for an hour. And when we headed over to my aunts, people were all done eating cuz they all ate at the same time. When we got there, the food was all put away and they were on desert. Oh well, it was still cool.

Jonathan washed his car at my house, so I decided to wash my mom's car too. She drives a 4-runner, so it's rather tall. To clean the top of her car, I stepped on the side step thingy on the side of the car. The car was parked next to my mom's rose garden. As I was cleaning, my hands lost it's grasp on the side mirror and I fell. On the way down, my fingers pulled on her mirror trying to hold on and my foot got tucked under her car. Then I landed on the rose bushes. It took Jonathan awhile to realize that I couldn't get up because all the thorns were clinging on to me. I had a huge bump/bruise on my foot, a bunch of pricks on my back and ass, and my left ring finger nail flipped! If it wasn't for the fact that my nails were all soft from washing the car, my nail would've prolly peeled off. YUCK! But it getting flipped back was gross too. I had to flip it back to normal. yeah... so that was my Thanksgiving afternoon. =P

Current mood: lethargic.
