random ramblings

16th October, 2001. 11:16 am. Sleepy...

I don't know why I've been so sleepy lately. Yesterday, I decided to study before A-Phi meeting. We had meeting at 6 and at 6:15, we were all going to head over to the All Greek Meeting at the Bren. The speaker this year was from MADD. So at 5, I thought I'd get some productive studying done... I must have fell asleep at 5:30ish because I remember hearing on TV that it was 5:30 at one point. Anyway, so next thing I know, I woke up and it's 8PM! The house was all quite. Annie then knocks on my door and we go to the kitchen to munch on some cookies together. Jacqueline's sisters spending couple nights here and she baked us cookies. How sweet of her.

So I'm just chilling til my next class at 2. From there, I go til 7! But at least I have Taco Tuesday to look forward to after my meeting tonight... and Becky will be joining us tonight too! Yeah! (Becky's my old supervisor).

My web design class is so interesting. It's just my first time taking a class through the Arts department... very different. I just upload the pages to my site cuz hosting it through the school's server, you can only view it on campus. Check out my Arts 50 website.It's just funny taking a class through the Arts department cuz it seems like they care more about our color scheme and stuff more than the technical stuff. Like if you had a good idea, but just didn't know html that well, it's still good. But if you did the technical stuff well, but they don't like your colors, then it's attacked.... dunno. You know what I mean? For example, if you look at my assignment one, everyone had to duplicate the same pattern. We had to choose the color scheme and font and stuff, but we have to make it look like that... spacing wise and stuff. I was the only one to get it centered and stuff, but it doesn't matter in that class. People who has all their words moving all over the place when you change the size of your window did just as well. The teacher even said, "It'll look different on different windows, so just design it for a "standard" size window and I'll adjust my window accordingly". Just different than any of my other classes. "What does this passage mean to you and what colors and fonts will bring out that meaning?" The class is fun anyway... it's a nice break from my 2 upper division Physics classes. I'm prolly not making any sense... I'm starving!
