random ramblings ah... I feel much better. I'm glad I don't remain sick for long periods of time. The first day of sickness (it was very flu like... prolly was), I spent eating nothing but porriage each meal. Irvine's Chinese food selection is very slim compared to Montery Park, but hey, Sam Woo's worked just fine. I even felt fine enough to go home today. Too bad I didn't get to visit my mom for very long. =( It's kinda funny cuz no one picked up when I called home, so we went to do errands instead, and stopped by some swap meet near Jonathan's house. After, we decided to stop by his house. That's when his mom asked us if we'll be around for dinner. To make it more difficult, she says, "if you guys are around, then I'll cook, but if not, then I won't bother." When she said she was going to make crab, the decision wasn't very difficult, although I felt bad about not eating at my parents house. I call them to see if they were home. My mom answers and doesn't even recognize my voice! Anyway, I told her I was at Jonathan's and going to stop by. She asked if I was staying for dinner. Geesh... we already have to worry about eating at which house. I told her that Jonathan's mom asked us already, but I told her I'll eat both...which is realistic for me to eat multiple dinners. Ended up that right when dinner was ready, Jonathan said we had to go. So I felt bad that I didn't even get to sit down with them. Oh well, he's always joining my family for dinner... but my mom was really sad when we left before dinner. I guess it was kind of abrupt. I feel like we both have moved out and are now just visitors. I came home to grab some stuff I left behind, then took care of some business with my dad and took off. I'll just make it up to them next week? Well see... got a bday party and wedding to attend. Dinner was great though! Yummy food, funny talks... Jonathan's aunt and uncle joined us too... although his mom didn't tell us till we came home for dinner. If I knew, I think I might have not wanted to attend because I would've felt like it was more of a family event or something and I wouldn't want to intrude, but I'm glad I went cuz his aunt and uncle are really funny. I knew that they were, but I never really got the chance to sit down with them and witness it for myself. I prolly won't be so afraid of feeling like I'm intruding next time I'm invited to anything with his relatives. I am going to his niece's bday party next Saturday, so that should be cool. All I gotta say is that it's difficult to balance out my school life (especially with HA training and APhi recruitment in mind) with my family life. It's a good thing I see Jonathan often and that we both put a lot into the relationship, otherwise, and especially that he always makes the trip to visit me; otherwise, with training, I wouldn't get to go home, then we wouldn't get to see each other, and I can see that taking a toll on the relationship. I don't do long distant relationships well. I really appreciate having such a caring and loving bf... he totally spoiled me while I was sick this weekend! =) He prolly has some post reguarding my brattiness during my sickness. Check to see.
