random ramblings

3rd September, 2001. 2:55 pm. Back in Irvine

Ah... all moved into my HA room... but unlike the last two years, I'm in the Alpha Phi house now instead of the Chemistry house. It's a good change, and it's a bigger room! (the bigger the house, the bigger the HA room is) Yeah! I especially appreciate having my own bathroom, and the bigger living room this year gives me more space to put stuff... yeah! I look forward to the convienience of being in the house, although it's not like Chem house was that far anyway, but I hope to make more close bonds this year, since my dowothee and big sis, Michelle, is gone. I settled in surprisingly quick. Friday, after my final, I moved one batch of things here. I spent most of my time deciding on how to arrange the furniture, but I still managed to unpack everything I brought and organized it pretty darn well *pat myself on the back*. Jonathan then brought more stuff, which I organized that night too. On Saturday, we went back to my house to grab more stuff and take my parents and uncle to the airport. My room also has two computers... very handy! I like what I've done to the room so far... too bad they're not letting us paint, but for a non painted room, I like it. I just can't wait til I have my own house to decorate! I was pushing Jonathan to get a house so I could decorate and paint it! hee hee... Well, hopefully two years later... we'll see. I punched out a bunch of stars (like 3 inches big) and I made a star border around my room with it. I also painted this plain wood lamp I got from Ikea for like $4. It's cool and weird looking. I painted it oranged with blue splotches... kinda like a cow? Maybe I can get a picture of it later w/ Jonathan's digital camera. We also headed over to Sir's new house on Friday. Pretty cool place. How exciting... very first house! Congrats to Sir!
