Yee-Haw!
So we went to Gasoline Alley, a costume shop, to find costumes today. We didn't really know exactly what we were looking for. We were thinking of Laurel and Hardy, vintage Chinese thing, Western thing, or Glam. Nothing there really fit, so when I found a saloon girl dress that fit rather well, my choices were greatly narrowed. I was still debating if I should just do the whole glam thing. Everyone seems to be doing that. But then I figure that this is our only function where we get to dress up. I have Cocktail and Bordeaux Ball to dress up, so I should have fun for this one. So we're going to be Saloon Girl and Cowboy... ta-da! I'm not familiar with that era, so I can't give specific characters. I heard Miss Kitty, Roy Rogers... but I don't really know who they are, so we're just "Saloon Girl" and "Cowboy". hee hee... Those movies were made during the 30's through 50's, which is the vintage years from what I was told, but many people seem to not think it's vintage... I don't know what vintage means. Someone told me anything 20's through 50's, so if cowboys are vintage even though they were made during those years, too bad. I already got the costume. It doesn't really matter anyway cuz it's about having fun. I never thought I'd every dress up as a Western chick since that's totally not my era or interest, so it's kinda cool that I'm going as a saloon chick... doing something completely different from what I ususally would do.
I just finished writing my paper that's due tomorrow. Now I just gotta finish Physics homework. Ack! I've been picking up on my ditching class habbit again (bad caroline!). Need to break out of it.
