um.... looking for words...
I am so sleepy. I slept all afternoon. I tried to stay up to finish my Physics homework last night, but couldn't hang, so I finished it this morning before class. Then, I came home and crash. Nothing too interesting today. Just had HA meeting then I was on the panal at the RA/HA info session. I got to share my nightmare resident story. hee hee...
My public speaking skill is getting really rusty. I've always been a more shy person. Words don't come easy to me, so I can't just get up and speak because I get nervous. In high school, through dance team and all those other leadership positions, my public speaking skill was really good. So when I got to college, I just didn't bother to take advantage to publically speak cuz I figure I can do it anyway... don't need anymore experience. Well, it's been awhile since I've had to publically speak on a regular basis (when I was president of my club and captain of the dance team, I spoke all the time), so I get nervous when I speak now and I forget all that I wanna say. sucks. I noticed that this year cuz when I have to share info to the HA staff, or at Alpha Phi meetings, I get nervous and end up forgetting. And half way through speaking, my heart rate increases and I get all short of breadth! Today, at the info session was the same. I turn red and I start speaking really fast. Where did my speaking skills go?! man! In high school, I had so much practice cuz I use to go into local schools to talk about teen pregnancy prevention and child abuse for two health agencies I interned for. I didn't realize how valuable those experiences were til I don't have them now. =( Need to get myself out there again! I just got so drained from high school that when I came to college, I was tired of being involved. I ended up working in housing and joinned Alpha Phi, but it's not the same. I should join an outreach thing. I was doing Physics outreach, but I can't wake up that early on Friday mornings!
